All Dates & LocationsThe international air transport system is characterized by a complex interaction of various actors involved (e.g. airport, airline, air traffic control) and their specific technologies and operating procedures. Every aspect of aviation is defined and controlled by a comprehensive set of rules. Especially for someone new to the topic, understanding these complex procedures and rules can be very challenging.
This course aims to provide an introduction to aviation and an in-depth overview of correlations between air operations and technical matters in selected areas of responsibility of the various stakeholders.
During the course, the participants will be introduced to the national and international legal framework which is of great importance for all participating actors. Then, the functions and tasks of the different key players (airport, airline, air traffic control) and their interaction with each other are discussed in detail. In addition, the basic procedures of flight operations are presented and explained from the point of view of all organizations involved.
Upon successful completion of this course, the delegate will have gained a foundational understanding of all the aspects of flight presented in the modules. The delegate will also gain a broad knowledge of multiple aviation career pathways. This course focuses on the structure of the various organizations as well as their daily operations and interfaces between them.
